On the eve of the 40th day after the Mamasapano encounter, POWER QC, an alliance of professionals and businessmen, held a symbolic candle-lighting and ribbon tying ceremony at Barangay Mariana Park, Quezon City.

According to POWER QC spokesperson Malou Turalde, the results of the Board of Inquiry will most likely absolve President Aquino of  accountability and thus obscure the truth behind the Mamasapano encounter.
