Marikina City government invited delegates of the Lakbayan ng Bangsamoro at Pambansang Minorya in their flag ceremony today to show solidarity to the cause of the Bangsamoro and indigenous peoples for respect for self-determination, just peace, environment protection and conservation of their cultural heritage.
Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN) Metro Manila Chairperson hailed Marikina City as the first local government unit in Metro Manila to welcome the Lakbayanis.
More than 2,500 national minorities from all over the country trooped to the national capital region to decry militarization, bombing, forced evacuation, usurpation of ancestral lands, mining destruction and Martial Law in Mindanao that has destroyed the historic Islamic center in the country.
